what I had to do that needed to be done during the Holiday Season. I told him, very simply, that I
needed to get ready for January, the start of my 2008 business year. I've taken that simple fact so
much for granted over my 30+ years in entrepreneurial business, that it never occurred to me that
most newer entrepreneurs don't think about it.

Look, when you're selling products online, you need to be fully prepared for the first couple of days
of January every single year. The best time to prepare for that is the two week downtime when online
sales slow way down in the last half of December. Come January 2nd of 2008, which is only a couple of
short weeks away, the truly successful online sellers out there are going to be burning up the phone
lines contacting wholesale suppliers.

Successful online sellers KNOW that the first few days of January are the best time to start new
relationships with wholesalers, to contact them and grab the fantastic overstock deals they have
available from the Holidays, to be the first to get in on their newest product lines, and so much
more!

So, SUCCESSFUL online sellers spend the last half of December planning out which wholesalers they're
going to contact the minute the 2008 sales year opens for business. Look, when midnight rolls around
on New Year's Eve, LOTS of online sellers raise a glass and resolve to improve their online sales in
the coming year. What they don't realize is that people who make a LOT of money online ALREADY HAVE A
PLAN for the first business day of 2008, and they developed that plan during the Holiday downtime!

THIS is the time, RIGHT NOW, to start looking for wholesale suppliers of the products you want to
sell in 2008, before all the early January after-Christmas wholesale deals are snapped up by other
sellers! Have a great time during the Holidays, but be absolutely SURE to develop a plan to be on the
phone first thing on January 2nd, with a list of wholesale suppliers of the products YOU want to sell
in 2008. This will give you a tremendous jump on most of your competition, who will just be getting
around to THINKING about post-Holiday wholesale deals on January 2nd. By the time THEY get around to
calling the wholesalers, the post-Holiday deals will be GONE.
