I am a board certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I'm a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, American Board of Hypnotherapy, president of the American Alliance of Hypnotists, on the board of directors of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Lung Association, and director of the Steve G. Jones School of Hypnotherapy in Savannah, Georgia (GA). In order to keep up with the very latest in research, I regularly attend training conferences.
In the mid 80s, I began study at the University of Florida. My primary research focus was cognitive psychology, understanding how people learn. Much of my early research was published in psychology journals in late 80s. Meanwhile, I continued practicing hypnosis outside of academia on a regular basis.
From 1990 to 1995, I was fortunate to counsel families and individuals. During this time I finished my degree in psychology at the University of Florida and went on to graduate studies in counseling. Since so much of what I do is training other hypnotherapists around the world, I have a Master's degree in Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) and I am working on a doctorate in education at Georgia Southern University.
In business settings, I am regularly called upon by sales teams to boost salesperson motivation. My straightforward techniques have significantly and consistently increased sales.
Since I regularly visit Los Angeles, California (CA), to see hypnosis clients, I also work extensively with Hollywood actors, writers, directors, and producers, helping them achieve their very best. |
